Know Your Battery's
Real Health
Understand Your
EV Battery Condition
Modern EVs use lithium-ion battery packs rated for 8-10 years of typical use. But batteries degrade from day one. The question isn’t if they degrade, but how much.
Most EV batteries lose around 1-3% capacity per year,
depending on the vehicle model, climate and charging habits.
Who Needs EV Battery Diagnostics?
Used EV Buyers
Know if the battery is a concern before you commit to your purchase.
EV Owners
Understand your remaining range capability and plan future replacements.
Fleet Operators
Identify which vehicles need battery attention first.
Dealerships
Understand the real battery condition of EVs before selling.
What We Test
Actual Capacity
How many kWh can the battery really hold? (vs rated capacity)
State of Health
Percentage (85% = 85% of original capacity remains)
Voltage & Cell Balance
Are all cells performing equally?
Temperature Performance
How does the battery perform in hot/cold conditions?
Charge/Discharge Curves
Is the battery charging efficiently?
Remaining Lifespan Estimate
Based on degradation pattern, how many years remain.
The Diagnostic Process
Vehicle Connection
We connect professional diagnostic equipment to the battery management system (BMS).
Data Reading
The BMS reports the battery's real-time health metrics.
Testing
We run capacity tests, charge/discharge curves, thermal profiles.
Analysis
We compare results against OEM (original manufacturer) specs.
Detailed Report
You receive a detailed report with findings and what they mean.
Your Battery Health Report Includes
- Current battery capacity measured in kWh.
- Percentage of original battery capacity remaining.
- Battery degradation level over time.
- Estimated years of battery performance remaining.
- Repair, replace, or monitoring recommendations based on findings.
- Clear explanations without technical jargon.
Why Professional Diagnostics Matter
No Guessing
Know the actual battery condition, not estimates.
Informed Buying
Know the battery health before purchasing a used EV.
Warranty Claims
Professional documentation to support warranty claims.
Fleet Management
Track degradation across multiple EVs.
Resale Value
Battery health reports increase buyer confidence.
What the Numbers Mean
- State of health (SOH): how much of the original capacity is left. This is the headline figure.
- Usable capacity (kWh): the energy the battery can actually store today.
- Cell balance: whether all the cells are at similar voltage. One weak group of cells can limit the whole pack, even when the overall SOH looks acceptable.
- Fault history: stored battery, charging and thermal-management faults.
How to Prepare for Your Test
- Arrive with roughly 20-80% charge unless we advise otherwise when you book.
- Bring the charging cable supplied with the car.
- Bring the service history if you have it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the range shown on the dashboard not enough?
No.The dashboard range is an estimate based on recent driving and
temperature. It changes from day to day and does not tell you the battery’s
real capacity.
Will testing harm the battery or affect the warranty?
No.We read data from the car’s own battery management system through the
diagnostic port. Nothing is modified.
My range has dropped. Does that mean the battery is failing?
Not necessarily. Cold weather, tyre choice, driving style and heating all
reduce range. A test shows whether the cause is the battery or something
else.
What do I receive afterwards?
A written report with state of health, usable capacity, cell balance, any
faults found and our recommendation, plus a call to talk it through if you
would like one.
